Geetika Nagpal

I am a Research Economist in the Development Impact Department (DIME) at the World Bank. I received my PhD in Economics from Brown University in May 2024.

My research is at the intersection of urban and development economics, focusing on housing markets and transportation infrastructure.

My work combines new sources of granular data with natural experiments to understand how private actors respond to government regulations and shape cities. My research is supported by the IGC, STEG, and the J-PAL King Climate Action Initiative.
