Geetika Nagpal

I am a PhD candidate in Economics at Brown University. My research is at the intersection of urban and development economics, focusing on housing markets and transportation infrastructure.

My work combines new sources of granular data with natural experiments to understand how private actors respond to government regulations and shape cities. My research is supported by the IGC, STEG, and the J-PAL King Climate Action Initiative.

I will be joining the Development Impact Department (DIME) at the World Bank as a Research Economist in Fall 2024.
